Tiki Oasis Presentation and Book Signing

Join me at the oldest, biggest, and grandest Tiki event in the world, Tiki Oasis, for a special Mai-Kai history presentation, and the West Coast premier of the book!

Don the Beachcomber: The Mai-Kai’s Father, will explore how Donn Beach took South Pacific and Caribbean inspiration and created the Tiki era, and how he inspired the Mai-Kai and his personal history allowed the Mai-Kai to exist as we know it today.

Besides the rare images, video, and audio interviews in the presentation, I will also have former Southeastern manager for Rums of Puerto Rico, Randy Avon as special guest to recount personal stories of the height of the mid-century Mai-Kai peak.

We will also be featuring a special hula performance by Nani Maka and MeduSirena. Nani Maka was the star of the classic tropical creature feature, Pagan Island.
